What is CBD Hemp Seed oil and is it LEGAL?
Cannabidiol or CBD is a cannabis compound that is derived from the plant cannabis sativa. Most CBD used medicinally is derived from this less processed form of the cannabis plant known as HEMP. Marijuana, hemp and CBD come from this plant with very different effects. CBD is emerging on the medical scene claiming to have medical benefits without a psychoactive property. This means that patients who want to utilize CBD benefits don't feel "stoned","high", or get the "munchies" that is associated with marijuana usage. It does not contain high levels of THC which is found in traditional marijuana. In other words, it contains very small doses around less than .3% of active THC. It is legal in all 50 states and 40 countries around the world and is considered to be a nutritional supplement based on the benefits of the hemp seed oil and the compliance of the 2014 Farm Bill-section 7606. How it works is that it directly interacts with cannabinoid receptors within your (ECS) endocannabinoid system in your body. It comes in the dosage forms of creams, ointments, capsules, and tinctures. This option is gaining popularity within the group of patients who are looking for a more medicinal benefit. There is not much scientific or clinical research to support some of the claims that are currently out there. This is usually blamed on the lack of US government sponsorship. But one thing is certain, this movement is moving full speed ahead!
